Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring a Field Management Excellence Operational Director based in Houston, Texas.

In this role, you will manage and provide support to ongoing projects for BHGE Fullstream COE through collaboration across multiple stakeholders within Global Operations, PMO and Product Companies functions and external customers. This role will deliver seamless day-to-day performance while aligning with business objectives and ensuring compliance with our company and industry regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the PMO and IWS organizations to modify/adapt the BHGE Integrated Management System (IMS) to encompass all Fullstream projects that integrates with the Asset Value Assurance (AVA) Value Assurance Review (VAR) process.

  • Ensure that appropriate line management structure and personnel are in place to safely deliver all Fullstream projects according to Integrated Management System (IMS) guidelines and processes. (Includes safety, logistics and project finance).

  • Build virtual team of Asset and Project Managers for global deployment.

  • Develop competency matrix for all critical positions with HR & PMO.

  • Map regional execution team competencies to job capsules.

  • Establish clear KPIs (OPEX/CAPEX, Safety, Performance, and Efficiency) for all Fullstream projects.

  • Establish plans for the delivery of performance improvements.

  • Approves objectives for each project in the Region.

  • Focused on maximizing BHGE value on all projects for Product Companies and Project Economics.

  • Provide support in the selection and management of all 3rd party services, including drilling contractors.

  • Formulate objectives for Fullstream projects.

  • Assists Global Operations and Fullstream Commercial & AVA COE team in bid preparation.

  • Works closely with the above team to support clients.

  • Coordinate with regional ‘start up’ team for all new projects as per FMS guidelines.

  • Supports the troubleshooting of specific Fullstream project issues for global operations.

  • Ensure that FMS Management of Change process is utilized when changes are made to operating plans or standards.

  • Ensure that feedback on third party suppliers is captured in order to allow continuous improvement in operational execution of future projects.

  • Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes Health Safety & Environment policies.

  • Document any HSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environmental) incidents that may occur. As required, support initial data gathering and investigations

  • Ensure Region personnel comply with HS&E Management System by setting the correct example and being a role model for implementation of safe work practices.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geosciences, or related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience or more in a quality oil and gas operator/service organization.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing and leading employees.

  • Preferred experience in multiple ISC product or service lines.

  • Demonstrated experience running operations and displaying a thorough understanding of the needs of the operator company / asset manager.

  • Good understanding of subsurface disciplines/competencies (geoscience and petroleum engineering).

  • Thorough understanding of third party resources needed to run well construction, IEPC and Field Management projects

  • Global role with the requirement to travel at least 25%.
