The HSE Performance Excellence Leader is a key position in development and execution of BHGE’s long-term strategy to drive a zero harm expectation internally and remain a leader within the industry. The evolution of HSE requires strong focus on human and organizational factors, and the HSE Performance Excellence Leader is responsible to develop and drive the effort within the enterprise. This position reports into the HSE Performance Transformation Lead.
Accelerates transformation of existing culture, processes and systems to achieve operational excellence and operational resilience.
Provides strategic direction and is accountable for the execution of the strategy related to human and organizational performance, including development, tracking, and trending of performance indicators
Represents BHGE in the industry as an expert in the field of human and organizational performance.
Optimizes sustainability of achieving Everyday as a Perfect HSE Day - No Injuries, No Accidents, No Impact to Environment.
Guides organization to early identification of gaps and strengths, and expedites operationalization of solutions.
Utilizes and embeds Human Factor/Human Performance and Brain/Social Science into culture design, leadership thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving processes.
Operationalizes High Performing Teams, Generative Thinking, Industry Leading Methodologies and Outcome-based Accountability.
People Leader responsibilities include: team and individual development
Bachelor’s degree required in environment, health or safety, human resource management, engineering or organizational psychology.
10 years’ relevant HSE experience, including 5 years in management
Minimum 3 yrs Oil & Gas Industry experience. Other relevant experience considered.
Houston-based or willing to relocate, available for global travel.
Demonstrated ability in advising and collaborating with full range of workforce, from front line to executives; including recognizing how they think/process and work/execute.
Creative and courageous with a keen ability to gain support and engage participation from all levels of the organization.
Willing to step out and challenge the status-quo; easily makes connections among previously unrelated concepts.
