Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring a HSE Project Manager based in The Woodlands, Texas.
The candidate will provide HSE expertise for well operations, production management and/or surface facilities construction projects serving as an active member of the Project Management Team. The HSE Project Manager will support the Project Manager to ensure overall project success in the areas of health, safety (process and occupational), and environmental. The Project HSE Manager is required to organize, plan, coordinate and implement the project HSE efforts throughout the planning, startup, mobilization and operational phases of the project.
Responsible for delivery of HSE related aspects of the project during the various project phases
Commissioning & Startup
Responsible for Sub-Contractor Mobilization Readiness (audits, HSE Interfaces, etc)
Responsible for development of Project HSE Plans and Risk Mgmt Programs and HSE Readiness for mobilization, commissioning and startup
Responsible for Contractor selection/approval
Responsible for Project HSE Permit submissions
Responsible for Project HSE Performance, KPIs, Incident investigation RCAs and Lessons
Responsible for Permit and regulatory compliance
Responsible for Contractor HSE performance on project
Participates in update meetings
Decommissioning / Divestiture
Responsible for implementing decommissioning HSE Plan and execution activities
Supports Vendor Due Diligence activities for Divestiture
Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Engineering, Sciences, or related technical discipline
8 years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas Industry, preferably with Operator or Drilling Contractor
5 years of management experience
Experience managing HSE projects for drilling and surface facilities construction/EPCM projects
Proficient at managing large, complex projects and providing clear direction, disciplined timelines and coordinated scheduling
Experience in development of HSE project commissioning, startup and mobilization plans
Proficient in HAZOPS and HAZID Assessments, Project Risk Assessments and development of Risk Management Plans
Knowledgeable in Process Safety, barrier management and well control practices
Effective communicator able to influence at various levels within Company, customers and contractors
Demonstrates ability to take initiative and make independent decisions
Knowledge of industry international safety, health and environmental standards
Required travel up to 100% possible both domestically and internationally
