Baker Hughes is seeking a Master CNC Machinist to be responsible for all aspects of the CNC Machining Center and provide support with prototype demand at our Yorktown location in Houston, TX.
Set-up and operate the lathe for fabrication of metallic and non-metallic parts that hold to the high quality machine standards required within the organization.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set-up requirements.
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as needed.
High School Diploma or GED
7 years of CNC Machinist experience within the oil and gas industry.
7 years of experience with Mazak Mazatrol G Code programming
Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on mills and lathes.
Must demonstrate an advanced skill level (indicate part, turn outside diameter's, and qualify inside diameter’s and outside diameter) on Mazaks along with Mazatrol programming.
Must have a working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
Must be able to work 1st shift - Monday through Friday from 6:30 am - 2:30pm
Willing to work overtime as needed
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Previous prototype machining experience is preferred
SAP experience is a plus
Mazak CNC lathe and mill machining experience preferred
