Offers the opportunity as an experienced Geomechanics Engineer (Geoscientist) to join the team in Assam, India
Baker Hughes, a GE Company (BHGE) is supporting different clients by providing Wireline and LWD Services along with Drilling Services across different locations in India. The part of service is Geomechanics modelling for different wells and different fields.
BHGE requires a Geomechanics Engineer to support the wireline and LWD operations, including the following activities:
Interaction with client for pre-job planning.
Interface with operations support, Field Engineers, Directional Drillers and Client.
Pre job model and preliminary job execution forecast.
Real Time monitoring during the job and interaction with Field Engineer and Client representative.
Post job deliverables including reports.
Interaction with other GPE team members to understand the fields.
Update job activity sheet after each job.
Traveling to different clients locations, as and when required.
Reports to GPE Manager
1D MEM (Geomechanical ) modeling.
Provide Geomechanical inputs to other operations support and GPE teams.
Do quality checks during the jobs and take full control during job execution.
Present data, interpretation and reports to internal and external clients either individually or as part of the Geomechanics team.
Discuss with internal and external clients on Geomechanical issues like Pore Pressure, Wellbore Stability or Sand Control matters.
Support colleagues by assisting them with Geomechanics knowledge.
Good client interaction, real time monitoring, post job deliverables and follow ups.
B.Sc. / M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Geology or equivalent subject.
Masters in Geomechanics will be added advantage but not must.
5 years in the E&P business, with proven skills in Geomechanics from either a consultancy, Operator or as service provider.
Strong understanding of the subject.
Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:
3D model and other software’s for Geomechanics
Operations and well site activities
Fluent written and spoken English.
Good presentation skills.
