Role Summary:

Mobile Asset Manager position falls under Operations Support organization. This role is accountable for managing assets movement (transfer, additions, disposal, scrap etc) across all Baker Hughes, a GE company product lines timely and correctly using the tools provided. The position will require significant coordination across the company and will interact with all levels of employees.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages approved capex acquisitions

  • Creates and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for fixed assets

  • Makes documented proposals for process and procedure improvements

  • Calculates asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs are applicable.

  • Investigates potential obsolescence of fixed assets.

  • Conducts periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.

  • Conducts periodic/annual physical counts of fixed assets.

  • Recommends disposal of fixed assets.

  • Conducts analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management

  • Tracks company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations

  • Manages fixed assets to maximize utilization

  • Works with other team members to identify improvements

  • Supports Standardization Projects and Operational Excellence.

  • Actively seek internal / external benchmarking of process performances

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree preferably with accounting/finance/engineering qualification

  • Minimum 5 years working experience

  • Strong financial background on assets related process, procedures & disclosures

  • Must possess excellent computer skills - Microsoft applications (i.e. excel, word, PPT, etc)

  • SAP & Hyperion knowledge is a plus

  • Exposure to Oil & Gas industry preferred

  • Familiar with leased asset arrangement
