Role Summary:

BHGE has an immediate opening for a Category Manager in the Chemicals group located at the Sugar Land, TX location. This position requires an experienced, motivated and innovative sourcing manager that knows how to be on the winning side of a negotiation.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop andimplement a local sourcing strategy across a broad set of specialty andcommodity chemical families.

  • Negotiateand manage contracts, commercial and supply positions for raw materialsand finished products.

  • LeadEnd-to-End sourcing operations to meet business demand.

  • Work withregional teams in low cost countries to identify opportunities to lowerTotal Delivered Cost (TDC).

  • Communicatewith Sales and Ops teams to understand current and future demand.

  • Assist indeveloping global sourcing strategies to mitigate headwinds and improvesecurity of supply.

  • Thoroughunderstanding of S&OP process, including supply forecasting.

  • Maintainthorough knowledge of market dynamics and commodity outlook. Analyze dataand business intelligence to identify and exploit trends in the market.

  • Managesupplier relationships and develop strategic partnerships

  • CommunicateKPI’s strategies and results leadership teams as required.

  • Responsiblefor financial performance of raw material categories.

  • Work closelywith HSE & Quality teams to manage RM and supplier quality andcompliance.

  • Propose andimplements mature sourcing policies

  • Handlespecial projects as assigned

  • Lead andcoach cross-functional and tactical support teams

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor'sDegree in Science, Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management isrequired

  • 8 years’experience in sourcing/procurement for direct and indirect spend

  • Experienceleading projects

  • Experiencein the Chemical Sourcing

  • Must beproficient in Microsoft office systems, SAP and related systems

  • Strongnegotiation, contract and alliance management skills

  • Able toadapt to changing priorities

  • Excellentability to communicate with internal customers and suppliers

  • Thoroughknowledge of Master Supply Agreement (MSA) content and structure,including, but not limited to, legal terms and conditions, transportation,INCO terms, payment terms, SOX compliance, and, import and export
